Also, you should ping your VPN server to see if it is reachable. It could be a problem with the provider but I doubt it. Home network administrators normally perform these changes on a broadband router. news I'll also run the simultaneous capture from the office as you suggest, but the logistics of it mean that it won't be until next week.

I've looked at both of the things you mentioned and unfortunately I'm still hitting a roadblock.I have since replaced the D-Link with the router we were using originally. Neverheard this one off the top of my head, but ANY sort of specific error message is ALWAYS helpful for troubleshooting.Can't tell you where'd Windows would keep the VPN logs, you I can try that and see if that works. That clearly indicates that you have VPN set up properly inside. plus the error tells me potentially at a layer 3 or layer 4 level, traffic is not making it tosaid VPN server from the nonworking connection.
